How It Works

Your journey begins with a consultation with Dr Natalia Bratu, where she assesses your anatomy, neck/face dynamics, and ageing patterns to determine if the Nefertiti Neck Lift is the right option for you.

The procedure itself takes around 30 minutes and involves:

  • Injecting into specific neck muscle bands (platysma and adjoining muscles) to weaken downward tension

  • Optional treatment along the jawline to elevate and sharpen the lower face contour

  • Minimal discomfort, no major incisions, and most clients return to normal activities immediately

After your treatment, you may notice some light swelling or mild soreness, but there’s typically little to no downtime.

Expected Results & Duration

You’ll typically see improved jawline definition and a smoother neck within the first week. On average, results last 3-4 months, with many of our clients enjoying up to 6 months before any maintenance is needed.


Keep in mind: while this treatment is excellent for early signs of ageing or refining your lower face, it doesn’t replace a surgical neck lift or thread lift for significant skin laxity or excess fat.

What’s the difference between a Nefertiti Neck Lift and a surgical neck lift?

A surgical neck lift physically removes or tightens excess skin and tissue, while the Nefertiti Neck Lift uses injectables to relax specific muscles and subtly lift the jawline and neck.

The non-surgical option involves no incisions, no anaesthetic, and minimal downtime, but the results are temporary and more subtle than surgery.

Pre & Post Treatment Advice

  • Before your appointment:

    • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications and alcohol for at least 24 hours prior.

    • If appropriate, avoid blood-thinning medications for a week (check with your GP).

    • Consider arnica (if approved by Dr. Bratu) to reduce bruising.

After your treatment:

  • Avoid touching or massaging your face or neck, and skip facial treatments for at least 24 hours.

  • Refrain from intense exercise and heavy sweating for five days.

  • Minimise sun exposure, tanning beds or high-heat environments for 48–72 hours.

  • Abstain from alcohol for 48–72 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

You may start to notice improvement within 3 to 7 days, with full effects visible after 2 weeks. The jawline appears more defined, and neck bands or sagging skin become less noticeable as the muscles gradually relax.

Most clients describe only mild discomfort, similar to a few quick pinches. A topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand if desired. The treatment is quick –  usually under 30 minutes – and there’s minimal to no downtime afterward.

This treatment is ideal for clients with mild to moderate sagging, visible neck bands, or early jowl formation who want to improve contour and lift without surgery. It’s not suitable for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have significant excess skin that may require a surgical lift.

Side effects are usually mild and temporary, such as slight redness, swelling, or small bruises at the injection sites. These typically resolve within a few days. More serious side effects are very rare when the procedure is performed by an experienced medical professional.
