• Use a cold pack to reduce swelling and redness on the injection site.
• Stay well hydrated (1.5–2.0 l water per day).

Avoid

• physical strain, sudden head movements and sports the first day after the treatment.
• direct exposure to ultraviolet light (solar exposure, lamps) in the 4 weeks following the treatment.
•  intense hot (Sauna, steam bath) or intense cold in the 4 weeks following treatment.
•  further cosmetic therapies for the first two weeks after the treatment.
•  massaging the injection site.
•  the intake of significant amounts of alcohol for a period of 10 to 14 days after the treatment.
• application of make-up for at least 12 hrs post-procedure.

Please be aware:

• Reactions such as redness, oedema, pain, and itching may follow treatment, as may an acne-like eruption. All these reactions are linked to the procedure itself and usually resolve after a few days. Should symptoms persist please contact us.
• Lumps and abscesses; sometimes associated with redness and/or swelling have been reported after treatment in some patients. In most cases, these side effects disappeared, however in some cases, they have lasted up to two weeks.
• If you have had herpes simplex (cold sores) in the past note that there is always a risk that injecting any product around the lip/or previously affected area may cause herpes to flare up again.
