Weddings & Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

After many months of Covid lockdowns and cancellations, it’s only natural that you’re going to want to look even more radiant and refreshed on your big special day.

What we do recommend is that if you are considering an anti-wrinkle treatment for your wedding day, make sure you take into account that it will take time for your results to show. So plan ahead, well in advance. For both men and women, we would recommend having a treatment about 4 months before your wedding day and avoiding any treatments during the weeks before the day. This is usually recommended as about 4 weeks.

What else can we use Anti-Wrinkle Injections for?

Grinding Teeth (Bruxism)

Did you know that Anti-Wrinkle injections can treat “Bruxism”? The dose will temporarily relax the muscles (the masseter muscle) responsible for moving your jaw, reducing clenching, and ultimately this may reduce headaches caused by grinding your teeth.

Migraines

When you have a migraine, your body releases substances called neurotransmitters and molecules that are associated with pain. The product in Anti-Wrinkle Injections interfere with the transmission of these substances, typically where the nerves and muscles meet. It is believed that when injected into the muscles around the face, head and neck, it is taken up by the nerves and interferes with pain-associated neurotransmission, resulting in pain reduction.

Hyperhydrosis (Excessive Sweating)

Anti-Wrinkle injections use the injectable product to block the nerve signals responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat.

Areas of the body that can be affected by Hyperhydrosis include the palms of hands, soles of feet and underarms.

How long do they last?

You can expect the results to last between two and six months depending on your body’s metabolic system and the product that is used. Repeat treatments will make your results last longer.

Can I combine Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Dermal Fillers?

Yes, you can. There are huge benefits to combining fillers and anti-wrinkle injectables. It can even save you money, in the long run.

Fillers & Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are the same, in the sense that they can restore a youthful appearance. But how they do this, is different. Anti-Wrinkle injections temporarily paralyze the muscles, so less movement is created. So, this minimizes the creases in the forehead and around the eyes.

Fillers, quite literally, fill the lines and wrinkles. They help to restore natural-looking plumpness that tends to diminish as we age.

The effects from dermal fillers will fade over time, as they break down and your body absorbs them. If you move your face quite a bit, they’ll break down even faster. This is where the magic of an-anti wrinkle treatment comes in. As we’ve mentioned, the product we use for anti-Wrinkle paralyzes certain muscles so this means there’s less movement. This means the results from your treatments will last longer.

What should I avoid after having an Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?

There are a few things to consider after having an Anti-Wrinkle Treatment.

  • You should avoid exercise for around 24hrs after your treatment. The reason for this, is because you run the risk of the toxin making its way towards muscles that it shouldn’t.
  • Maybe don’t book any events for a couple of days after treatment. There’s bound to be a bit of swelling or bruising around the area you’ve had treatment.
  • Don’t touch or rub the area that has been injected with the toxin. It can send the toxin moving in different directions.
